Terms, privacy
and the small print.

Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain language.

1. Using this website

This website is published by Nadavidyalaya® Academy of Music & Dance, Hebbal II Stage, Mysuru, Karnataka, India (“Nadavidyalaya”, “NAMD”, “we”, “us”). By using it you accept the terms set out on this page.

The information here is provided in good faith and for general information about the academy and its courses. Course content, class schedules, fees and festival dates change from time to time; nothing on this website constitutes a binding offer. Please confirm current details with us directly before relying on them.

2. Enrolment and classes

  • Admission to any course is at the discretion of the academy, and depends on the availability of a suitable batch and slot.
  • Fees, once notified, are payable in advance for the applicable period. Fees are reviewed periodically and any revision will be communicated before it takes effect.
  • Fees paid are ordinarily non-refundable and non-transferable. Where a student must discontinue for a serious reason, please speak to us — we will deal with it reasonably.
  • Classes missed by a student are not ordinarily made up. Classes cancelled by the academy will be rescheduled.
  • Regular attendance and daily home practice are expected. The academy may decline to continue teaching a student whose attendance or conduct makes meaningful progress impossible.
  • Examination fees, costume, accompaniment, venue and production costs — including those of a rangapravesha — are separate from tuition fees and are borne by the student's family.

3. Conduct

The guru–shishya relationship carries obligations on both sides. Students and accompanying family members are expected to treat the gurus, fellow students, the premises, the instruments and the stage with respect, to arrive on time, and to follow reasonable instructions given by the gurus during class, rehearsal and performance.

4. Performances and events

Selection for performances, dance dramas, ensembles and the annual Nada Nrityopasana festival is at the artistic discretion of the gurus. Readiness for a rangapravesha or for university examinations is likewise determined by the gurus, whose assessment is final.

Where a performance or production involves costs to be borne by families, those costs will be set out in advance.

5. Intellectual property and trademark

Nadavidyalaya® is a registered trademark. The name, the mark, and the titles of the academy's original productions and publications — including NAMISU, Nritya Sudha and Sangeetha Sudha — may not be used without our written permission.

Original choreography, compositions, teaching material, photographs, video and written content published by the academy remain the property of Nadavidyalaya and its gurus. You may view, download and print pages of this website for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, adaptation, public performance or commercial use requires our written consent.

6. Photography and filming

Classes, rehearsals, examinations, festivals and public performances are photographed and filmed by the academy for its records and for publicity, including this website and social media.

If you do not wish photographs of yourself or your child to be used in this way, please tell us in writing at the time of enrolment, or at any time afterwards. We will honour the request and remove existing images from material we control. No explanation is required.

7. Privacy

What this website collects. This website does not run analytics, does not set cookies, and does not store anything you type. There are no forms on the site — enquiries reach us by telephone or email, and nothing is transmitted to or held by this site.

The site loads a web font from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers when a page loads. That request is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

What the academy collects. When you enquire or enrol, we collect the contact and student details you give us — typically name, age, telephone number, email address and, for enrolled students, attendance, examination and progress records. We use these solely to administer teaching, examinations, events and communication with you.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only where necessary — for example, with Gangubai Hangal Music University when entering a student for an examination, or with a scholarship or audition authority at your request — or where required by law.

You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Write to us and we will act on the request.

8. Links to other sites

This website may link to external sites, including video platforms hosting the academy's published material. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any site we do not operate.

9. Liability

Classical dance is physical training. Students are expected to disclose any medical condition or injury relevant to their participation, and to inform us promptly if one arises. The academy takes reasonable care, but participation in classes, rehearsals and performances is at the student's own risk.

Personal belongings brought to the premises or to a venue remain the responsibility of their owner.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of this website, or continued enrolment, after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mysuru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms, about your information, or about a photograph you would like removed should be sent to Nadavidyalaya® Academy of Music & Dance, #281, 9th Cross, 1st Main, Hebbal II Stage, Mysuru 570 017, Karnataka, India — by telephone on +91 94492 03120, by email at nadavidyalaya2006@gmail.com, or through our contact page.
